Rachel is a real La Mariée bride — and we are so happy to share her story. She married her husband, Justin, on September 21, 2022, in Cozumel, Mexico, and we had the absolute honor of helping her find her dream dress just one month before her wedding day. (Yes, we make miracles happen.)
We’re sharing all the details about Rachel and Justin — what she loved most about wedding planning, her advice for future brides, and of course, their stunning photos captured by Hanna Runner Photography!
How did you and Justin meet? How long have you been together?
“Justin and I met through a mutual friend named Christian. Although, I am sure our paths crossed numerous times, considering he lived a town over and we went to the same college. We did not end up meeting until 2019, when Christian introduced me to Justin at the Max in Tulsa. We have been together 3.5 years now!”
What was your favorite part of the planning process?
“Finding my dream dress! And I really liked planning and organizing everything!”
What your favorite part of your wedding day?
“Getting ready with my girlfriends and of course seeing my husband at the altar!”
What was your experience like at La Mariée?
“My wedding was September 21, 2022. I went shopping and purchased a dress in November 2021. As the wedding got closer, I was seeing a lot of mutual friends wearing that same dress. And unfortunately, I started to fall out of love with it. In August of 2022, I saw that La Mariée Boutique had opened and thought I would give it a chance! I knew that with my wedding a month away, I might not have any luck! I walked in, and Heidi and Elizabeth were so helpful! They picked out dresses they had in my size or ones that they knew they could get for me! I fell in love with one of the dresses, and I walked out with it that day! I was amazed!! My wedding was a month away… and they got me the veil I wanted in time to!! It was such a pleasant experience. They were not pushy at all, and were so helpful!!”
If you could give one piece of advice to future brides, what would it be?
“Don’t stress. If something goes wrong, the only people that will know, will be you and your fiancé/husband!”
