Your Questions, Answered
Everything you’re wondering before you walk through our doors — so that when you arrive, the only thing left to think about is the gown.
Appointments & Booking
Do I need an appointment to visit La Mariée?
Yes — we are an appointment-only boutique, by design. Every visit is private and unhurried, and the work begins before you arrive: after you complete a brief style questionnaire, your stylist will personally call you to talk through your vision and begin curating gowns chosen specifically for you. Reserve your appointment online, and we’ll take it from there.
Why is there an appointment fee?
Because your appointment begins long before you walk in. Your fee reserves a dedicated stylist, a private styling session, refreshments for you and your guests, and a selection of gowns curated around your style, your venue, and your day. Please note that appointment fees are non-refundable, as great care is placed on your experience far before the appointment begins.
Which bridal appointment is right for me?
We offer four ways to say yes, and every one includes a dedicated stylist, a curated gown selection and a glass of peach bellini, of course. You can view all of our bridal appointment options here.
How many guests can I bring?
It depends on your appointment — from four guests at a Luxe Appointment to twelve at a Platinum. Whatever the number, we recommend bringing the people whose opinions matter most to you. The right voices in the room make the moment.
Can children attend my appointment?
We adore them — but to protect the gowns, your experience and the experience of all brides in our boutique, children under 12 are unable to attend appointments.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Complete your style questionnaire, gather the images you’ve saved, and come as you are. You can expect to get a few phone calls or text messages from us after you have booked to talk through what to expect and how to prepare for your appointment specifically, because each one is unique!
One important note: please refrain from wearing any kind of self-tanner, as it can damage our gowns — cleaning fees may be applied to gowns damaged by self-tanner.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
We understand that plans change — we simply ask for notice. Please call to reschedule as soon as possible as our calendar fills up quickly and we want to make sure we can reserve your preferred day and time.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, and no-shows, are charged a $100 fee, with no exceptions, as your stylist and our boutique will have been prepared entirely for you.
Mothers & Occassion Gowns
Do you dress mothers of the bride and groom?
Absolutely. Our Mother of the Occasion Appointment is a private, 1-hour styling session ($50) to find the perfect gown from our curated designer evening collection — because her place in the day deserves a gown chosen with the same care as the bride’s.
Do you carry evening gowns for galas and black-tie events?
Yes — our Evening Gown Appointment is a 1-hour session ($50) to explore our curated selection of designer evening wear for galas, black-tie events, and formal occasions. Please note this appointment is for formal evening wear only and is not available for prom, homecoming, or high school events.
What about dresses for my shower, rehearsal dinner, or bachelorette?
We love dressing you for all of your wedding occasions. Our Little White Dress Appointment ($25) is a 1-hour session with a dedicated stylist to find the little white dresses that carry you through every celebration before the aisle.
Do you carry debutante gowns?
Yes. We offer a thoughtfully curated selection of debutante gowns chosen for their timeless silhouettes and the understated elegance a formal presentation deserves — whether you are preparing for the Opera Ball, a cotillion, or another formal debut.
What does a debutante appointment include?
Your Debutante Appointment is a private, 1-hour styling session ($25) for you and up to three guests. Your stylist will guide you through the collection with expert counsel on silhouette, fabric, and proportion — so you step into your presentation with the poise the occasion deserves. Accessories appointments are also available for gloves, jewelry, and headpieces.
Gowns, Designers & Pricing
How much do your gowns cost?
Our bridal gowns begin around $3,000, with our couture collection starting at $6,000 and above. Tell your stylist your budget at the start of your appointment — she will honor it, and she will never put you in a gown you can’t say yes to.
Which designers do you carry?
We curate a focused collection from the world’s most celebrated bridal designers — including Galia Lahav, Katherine Tash, and Sareh Nouri — alongside other carefully selected names. Our collection evolves seasonally, and every gown earns its place on the rack.
When should I order my gown?
Our gowns are made to order, so we highly recommend purchasing your gown 9 to 12 months before your wedding day. Working with a shorter timeline? Give us a call — we’ll talk through the best options for your date.
Can I buy a gown off the rack?
From time to time, we host sample sales offering designer gowns from our collection at exceptional value — by appointment only. Join our mailing list to be the first to know when the next one is announced.
After You Say Yes
Do you offer alterations?
Yes — expert, in-house tailoring to ensure your gown fits like it was made for you. While we are happy to work on any gowns not purchased at La Mariée, priority during peak wedding season is given to Lariée clients.
As a note, alterations are a standard part of the dress buying process. It is important to factor in alterations cost in to your wedding budget.
How long do alterations take?
Expert alterations takes time. We recommend starting alterations 3 months in advance of the wedding date, with a minimum of 8 weeks to ensure proper time for the detailed work to be completed. This timing is factored into our recommended shopping time frame of 9 to 12 months. Made-to-order gowns take 6-9 months to be made and arrive at our boutique. Then we have the right amount of time for alterations to be completed as well.
How much do alterations cost?
Our expert seamstress is exceptional at her craft. Alterations can cost on average $1,000 to $1,500. It can be lower or higher, depending on how the dress fits, what changes are being made and the timeline for the work to be completed.
As a note, alterations are a standard part of the dress buying process. Standard alterations will include a hem and a bustle. Any fit modifications or customizations made to the dress in alterations can add additional cost. It is important to factor in alterations cost in to your wedding budget.
Can you help on my wedding day?
From yes to the aisle. Our wedding day services include professional steaming the week of your wedding, dress delivery to your getting-ready location, on-site bridal styling, and bustling and touch-ups through the evening. Ask your stylist about adding wedding day services.
What about cleaning and preserving my gown afterward?
We arrange and manage professional cleaning and heirloom preservation through a trusted specialist, with packages starting at $400.
Where are you located?
In Tulsa, Oklahoma — and our brides travel from Oklahoma City, Edmond, Norman, and across the region. Many tell us the drive becomes part of the celebration: time with your mother, your sisters, your closest friends, building anticipation for the moment ahead.
